Catherine M Monohan was a 4 mast wooden schooner that sank on its way to Knight's Key from New York on August 14, 1910.The ship now lies in 100' of water, with the most recognizable feature being the bags of concrete it was holding, which still exist today as a mound on the sea floor.
The wreck does not hold many big fish, but is a popular spot to catch beeliners or vermillion snapper and was once known to hold red snapper. There are also a few trigger fish on this wreck at times.
