Lots of Bluefin off Cape Lookout

It's official, the Bluefin Tuna have returned. The first one was caught on Sunday. 5 more were landed out of 13 that were caught on Monday. The class of fish are ranging between 70 and 114 inches and up to 500 pounds dressed.

At lunch today 16 boats were hooked up. Reports from both sides of the shoals on Cape Lookout, but most were between Shad Buoy and Knuckle Buoy.

Biologist say they may be from Mediterranean stock, but I believe the data supports Gulf of Mexico stock. More on this later...
