The Middle Point Island area offers excellent opportunities for all species. Concentrate on the shallow shoreline for spring largemouth. Work white spinnerbaits or buzzbaits or slowly work Hula Poppers for these bass. During summer, Texas-rigged plastic worms should be fished in 20 to 30 feet for largemouth. Striped bass can be found most of the year at depths of 30 to 45 feet. Use Senkos, Sassy Shads or minnow-styled baits in shad patterns for these fish. Channel catfish can be found on the bottom near edges that are adjacent the large flat. Cats are readily caught on stinkbaits
