August fishing has been explosive this year with many Target species to be tackled. First, the world class Jack Crevalle. which we fish for by finding them finning and then throwing surface plugs: Mirror Lure Top Dogs, Striper Swipers, Zara Spooks, chuggers/poppers all have been tried and a successful on this giant fish and light tackle. Our biggest this year so far was 37lbs and the smallest was 25lbs! Perhaps, one of my favorite fish to go after. The Tarpon have been on fire and I recommend tackling these bruisers for a 3/4 day charter! The Mullet Run is near and the Tarpon will not be far behind ambushing these baitfish along with Spinner sharks. A sight casting spectacle, these days can be on fire! We have been catching all different species of sharks which makes a lot of drag screaming fun! The Redfish and the Trout have been consistent both on artificial,crabs, live shrimp...ect!
