On Halloween I fished with local angler and long time client Alec for a full day. We finally had perfect fall weather and a good tide but still at least 2 feet above normal. We worked quickly through the incoming tide and had shots at small tarpon, saw some bonefish and had a couple of snook bites before looking for pilchards (bait). the finger channels were really hard to fish because of the unusually strong current so we found bait, I loaded up the well and hit a few spots to live chum mutton snappers and yellow jacks. We found a few yellow jacks but no muttons. We wrapped up our trip live chumming for snook and had one hit but ended up catching a nice mangrove snapper instead before we headed back to clean fish for dinner.
