We had a great Big Rock Tournament.Congratulations to my Dad, Pete Zook and his mate Gray Harris and all the girls on the boat for winning the Lady Angler part of the tournament. I would also like to congratulate the crew of the Hatteras Fever II for taking first place in the tournament and the crew on the Sensation for taking second place.It goes without saying that billfishing right now is doing great along with some nice dolphins, tunas and wahoos mixed in. The wind has been blowing so much it has made it hard for the boats to get out and see where the dolphin bite is right now but I would assume that as always forthis time of year, you should be able to head to the 14 buoy and pick up several.Closer inshore, the bluefish are doing very well. The Spanish bite has slowed down some due to the very dirty water. Theyre still here but with the dirty water they cant see the spoons your dragging or casting to bite it. As soon as the wind falls out and the water clears upthey will start biting again.Iv been getting good reports of Red Drum all along the beach, from Bouge Inlet all the way up this way. It sounds like allof them have been upper slot limit fish too.The flounders are starting to bite back in the sounds. Iv gotten many reports of flounder being caught while bottom fishing or drifting with flounder rigs. Most of them have been smaller but there usually will be a nice keeper around those smaller fish.
