Harvester. Wooden barquentine, 1494 tons. #95385. Built USA, 1875; reg. San Francisco. Length 210 ft. Lost at Black Head, near Hallidays Point, north of Forster, NSW, June 1900. [SAN]

The barquentine Harvester was lost in June 1900 north of Forster near Hallidays Point, Black Head. It struck a submerged part of Seal Rocks and was blow out to sea by a strong wind. All hands were saved.

The wooden vessel was built in 1875 at Bath, United States. The 1494 tons barquentine was owned by A P Lorentz of San Francisco and was on its way to Newcastle in ballast to load coal for Honolulu.
