Yellowfin, Blackfin, Gaffers, and Blue Marlin off Hatteras

After another week of wind, on Tuesday several boats were finally able to get out. The fleet caught some nice Blackfin tuna. There were also several catches of gaffer sized Mahi-mahi or dolphin as they say locally. The picture is from Hatteras Harbor of the nice catch of Blackfins aboard the Release. Godspeed also released a Blue Marlin. There were also a couple of Wahoo that were caught.

Today, Bite Me caught 5 yellowfins, 6 blackfins and a couple of dolphins. Godspeed also caught 4 citation Blackfin up to 28#s.


On the bottom, some nice grouper and black sea bass were caught this week as well.
