Flagler Beach Fishing Report

With the past few day here in Palm Coast being extremely windy out of the north east it has pushed in a lot of water, causing some very high tides. With that being said the fishing can get pretty tough, due to the fact that the bait seems to disappear. But if you can manage to find it, it can make for a great snook bite. Fishing as far into the backcountry as we could this morning myself and my three anglers, Pj, Mike, and Andrew decided to start off looking for a redfish. Shortly after tossing out a piece of cut crab Mike hooked up to his first redfish, and a nice over slot one at that. After that things got slow on the flats, so we switched things up a bit.

At our second spot we were targeting snook, and as soon as our first bait hit the water we were hooked up to a nice snook. After catching a few there things started to slow down at that spot, so we bounced around finding the bait, a very important factor in catching numbers of snook in this area. Stopping off at a spot that I generally find big snook and small tarpon, I baited Andrews hook and he tossed it in the water, in seconds he was hooked up with a really big snook. Unfortunately this spot is pretty close quarters and that fish managed to break us off on some nearby debris. After that we managed to break off 3 more very large fish, the big ones got the best of us today, we’ll get them next time guys! The Palm Coast and Flagler Beach fishing bite has been great, so get out there or book a trip with us!
