What a Start to Spring!!! March 1-14 2025

What an incredible first half of March we have had.  Things have been moving a bit quicker than normal and I attribute to the warmer than normal February we've had.  The big surprise has been the sheer number of permit around a little earlier than usual for early March.  The tarpon fishing has been solid for the smaller resident fish in the 40-60lb range and they have been feeding well for the first hour of the morning.  Adding to the list is the king of all, the permit.  These guys have been thick and they have been averaging in the mid 20lb range.  Bonefishing has been solid as well with plenty of super shallow tailing bonefish at the end of the super low tides we've been having.  For less demanding fishing, there have been more jacks and ladyfish than most people can handle and some nice size pompano have been making an appearance as well.  So far it's been a great first half of March and I expect the second half to remain the same.  It's been a ton of fun!
