November Fly Fishing in Louisiana

 | By Seamus on 11/27/2014 12:40:13 AM | Views (63) We are a 3rd of the way through November now and the fishing has not disappointed.  The Redfish are starting to to take on some of their wintertime patterns which I love.  These patterns include breaking out of there schools and spreading throughout the marsh, also sunning up high in the water column (floating.) Louisiana has experienced a few nice cold fronts at this point and we are right in the middle of our third.  These cold fronts work to keep our coastal waters cool and clear making fly fishing deeper cut’s and basins for the monster Bull Redfish that much easier.  The Louisiana Marsh water’s are sitting around a temp of 60 degrees Fahrenheit.  50 – 66 degrees fahrenheit are the perfect water temps for a clean marsh with Redfish spread out all over it’s shorelines and basins.  Blue Sky’s are in the forecast and so are Bull Redfish in excess of 25 pounds!
