Hey Fishermen,

Well the sturgeon are here and chomping. But first shark fishing is still strong. There are some large leopards around and a lot of 7 gill sharks. You need to filter through a lot of small 7 gills to get a good one. Flash I will remain at Fisherman's Wharf and continue fishing sharks and Rockfish. A half day trip is all you need for the shark fishing. I captained Flash I with a light load for some good action. Christian Miner got into some large leopard and 7 gill sharks . See the photos.

Flash II is in Martinez and will be fishing sharks and striped bass. I captained Flash II yesterday for some good action just above the Mothball fleet. We were in 35 feet of water and the best action was on the ebb tide. We landed 7 sturgeon and 4 striped bass. The striped bass were all too small but we had some good sturgeon. Everyone went home with a nice bag of sturgeon fillets. This was Miles Smith very 1st sturgeon trip. He was fortunate enough to land his very 1st sturgeon, which was a keeper! He also landed a jumbo shaker. He now likes sturgeon fishing. I marked a lot of large fish yesterday. It is very encouraging. We used eel and grass shrimp combo and just straight eel. Most of the surgeon took straight eel. It looks like were going to have a good sturgeon season.
