Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Hey fellow sportsmen,
I just wrapped up 6 trips in a row. Today and tomorrows trips were rescheduled due to high winds. Sturgeon fishing is still strong and there are some quality fish being landed. We landed some good size keepers and some keeper bass. The bass are small school fish, 19 to 21 inch range. It is still sturgeon fishing as we were reminded on 1 trip. We only landed 1 shaker that day. The water temperature is warm for this time of year, 59 degrees. I believe that is the reason for the very active fish. The sturgeon fight like mad dogs. Their bites have been short so we see a lot of missed bites. My best success has been in the Suisun Bay’s deeper water, 30 feet or more. My best bait has been Lamprey eel. I had a young lady land here first sturgeon ever. It was a 53 inch sturgeon. Her and her friends were so excited it was like a photo shoot on the boat. I will be back out as soon as the winds lay down. Enjoy the photos.
