Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
<°)[[[[[}x<{ Perhaps this winter's unusually cold grasp on coastal #Virginia is finally weakening. We are now seeing some high temperatures reaching 70 degrees, and water temp's are starting to respond in kind. However, as of this morning, the #Yorktown Bouy is reporting water temperature at 41.2°. This means we aren't quite ready to go fishing.
I suspect that as our Chesapeake Bay and tributary water temperatures hit the mid 40's and climb to 50 degrees, our spring Flounder, Tautog and Rockfish(Striped Bass) will make their appearances in quick succession. Until then, we will continue gear and boat maintenance and upgrades, anxiously watching the NOAA bouy reports.
