Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
We put the lines out inshore of the Rock Pile and trolled up to Monitor Buoy and only had 1 dolphin to show for it. We trolled around Smell Wreck and caught an Amberjack. Did some jigging and caught a several more, including another keeper.
19th
First fish of the day was a nice gaffer South of 000 in 45 fathoms Around the 940 line we hooked a 200-300 # Blue Marlin that ate both longs before coming tight on the shotgun in 75 fathoms. After a quick show, he charged the boat and came off. Back in 70 fathoms and somewhere between 000 and the Rock Pile and found bailers. Caught 35 of them before a Dusky Shark showed up on the scene. We wasted 3 bailers trying to hook him till we got tight. After getting him to the leader at the boat, he decided he no longer wanted to play and popped the line.
20th
We fished a half day and caught a couple of gaffers and slingers, and a few bailers.
