Fishing Report for Tues Aug 1st

 | By Seamus on 9/3/2015 9:56:08 AM | Views (293)
Fishing has been great on the outgoing tide overnight lately (after midnight and up until daybreak), but sub-par the rest of the time. Some fish will continue to bite during the morning hours if the tides are running right.

Last night, overnight, they caught mostly Spot. Today has been 1 "keeper" Flounder and a few Spot and Blues here and there, but not a lot of either. We are also still getting reports of tiny Black Bass and Pinfish.

Crabbing has been nearly non-existent for the past 2 weeks. 80 degree water temps have not helped the crabbing out at all. Are they gone for good? We can't really say, but 3 hours to catch 1 crab may be a bad omen.

For an up to the minute report on Sunday and Monday, please call 757-481-7071.

It is Virginia Beach, so the weather changes by the minute. We recommend checking the report for yourself using the links below before you come. While we are happy to tell you what it looks like outside our window, we are no better at predicting the weather than the weatherman is.
