Our Galveston Fishing Guides had an amazing week of fishing, and the fishing reports remain very good. It has been a great start for September Fishing for speckled trout, spanish mackerel, pompano, tarpon, sharks, and some redfish are beginning to show up. The Redfish bite is beginning to pick up, but it has been a bit slower than usual for September. This will change any day now, as we move thru the month of September. The redfish that we are catching are extremely healthy and thick.
Water temps are slowly beginning to fall, mainly due to shorter daylight hours. Water temps for Galveston Bay are at 85 degrees currently and a cool front will definitely help with dropping this even more. We will begin to see patterns change and more and more flounder and redfish show up as we continue into Fall.
The offshore bite for Kingfish has been steady as well. We have been running out 35 miles or so and doing well for Kingfish. Also, the bonus Cobia or Ling has shown itself as well. We still have a few good weeks left for Deep Sea fishing in Galveston. We had returners Bryan, Jamie and family on board this past weekend and they had a great time on our Galveston Offshore Fishing Charter. They will be back next month for their very firs October Flounder Gigging Charter. It will be a great time!
