Galveston Fishing has been great during the month of July. We have been catching good numbers of Bull Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sharks, Stingrays, and many other fish on the Galveston Jetties. The westerly winds we have been experiencing along the Galveston Coast has stained beachfront and the channel areas, but when the wind has let up - we are having some great Galveston Fishing.
We have also had some good luck on our Galveston Flounder Gigging Trips. Not only very good numbers of flounder - but we are also filling up coolers of Blue Crab when customers are wanting to have a Giant Crab Boil !
Just in the past week we have began really nailing some GIANT Galveston Flounder in the back lakes and bayous. It is crazy to see flounder jumping out of the water gorging themselves on shad! If the size of flounder we have been catching in July is any indication to the upcoming Galveson Flounder Gigging Season..... Records will be broke! We are catching some monster flounder in the back lakes and bayous!
We are in the heart of the summer - but I can not keep from being excited about the months ahead.... a little cool weather, and some Giant Flounder !
