Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Weekly Fishing Report March 24 2017
The seas look to be on the way down this week & with the wind cutting back for the weekend the temperature looks good to get amongst the fish, some anglers have been making the most of the lulls during the week and plenty of species are being caught. Cam Swords and friends fished with the guru Alex Bellissimo at Dee Why beach when the swell was still up & the guys had a great session landing plenty of bream & whiting on beach worms. More tailor have been landed casting metal lures over the back of the breakers at Collaroy & Manly, Dane Peterson caught 4 fish to 55cm using this technique, minimal equipment is required for this successful style of fishing.
Sydney Harbour’s water clarity is quite reasonable for all the hard rain we have had and fishing the deeper areas and drop offs is recommended for flathead & trevally, scented soft plastics fished at Clontarf & The Spit worked a treat for Ryan Phillips landing 3 salmon to 61cm’s & a 63cm kingfish. Further west bream & flathead have been on the chew at Roseville, walking the wall in the picnic area west of the bridge has seen anglers catching whiting, bream and flathead using peeled prawns and soft vibe lures.
Best fishing times have been dawn & dusk but some of these captures have been in the middle of the day.
Our "End Of Summer Clearance Sale" is still on instore so be sure to come in & grab some bargains.
