Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Exceptionally warm water is still around our estuaries at the moment & although the water clarity isn’t awesome due to our most recent rains there are still plenty of fish being caught by anglers both offshore & inshore alike. Craig Butcher & Jake Levy had a great session on mulloway, snapper & kingfish fishing from the tinny landing some terrific sized fish during a quick morning fish offshore.
The harbour water temperature is very warm and some good fish are being caught from Manly right through to the harbour bridge. Schools of salmon, tailor & bonito are harassing bait shoals on the surface and are providing some good action for the small boat fisho’s, casting metal lures into the visible surface action is the successful technique here . George Makhlouf fished near Dobroyd Point drifting whole squid heads and landed his first ever mulloway at 75cm, further north at Manly Stuart Dennis chased flathead in his kayak using soft plastic lures landing 8 fish with the biggest going 68cm which was soon released after a couple of quick photos. Ample live bait of squid & yellowtail are available at your favourite bait grounds & with the wind looking to stay down this weekend it looks like some prime fishing conditions will be upon us, good luck & safe fishing. Saturday looks like the pick of the days this weekend but just keep keep an eye on the wind & seas on Saturday arvo as they both look to be on the rise.
