March 27th Sailfish bite off Key West is strong.  deep sea fishing on board the Double Down out of Key West March 27th 2017 – Ahh this is more like March April weather. Easterly winds prevail and we have the Sails!!! Yes Sailfish are on the reef and the  Key West deep sea fishing fleet is making short work of them with some impressive releases of not only numbers of fish but from the looks of the images we are getting from Capt. Brice Barr of the Double Down they are large fish too. Sailfishing is a thing here in Key West. So much so this is where the World Sailfish championship has been held for many years. Seems the lid has come off the fishing for sailfish this week as one of our favorite boats here in Key West the Double Down captained by Capt. Brice Barr crushed it yesterday (Sunday) with 8 of 9 to the boat. Thats AWESOME! Well done capt. Brice and crew.
