With the weather and the water conditions being exceptional over the past week, there has been no better time to go and have a fish. All manner of species are being caught from the beaches to Brown’s Mountain and beyond.
The Habour at the moment is fishing well with schools of mac tuna and bonito chasing baitfish. Casting small metal slices in the early morning and late evening around the Spit Bridge and the headlands.
Some good size kings are still on offer for those that choose to spend a bit of their time catching live squid and yakkas. Flathead, snapper and hairtails are still available for the fishos laying down a burley trail and fishing light baits.
Narrabeen Lake has schools of small chopper tailor taking all kinds of bait and many fishos trying for a bream or flathead are finding their rigs getting chewed.
The rocks are fishing well for some small snapper and plenty of blackfish as well as all the pelagics that are on offer.
A lot of good results are coming from the beaches up and down the Penninsula, with early morning and evening being the best time to get a feed of bream, whitting and flathead. Late evening turns on the big predators when all manner of sharks can be encountered as well as the prized mulloway.

Offshore grounds around the fads or floating debris are still producing mahi mahi for those that are making the early run out and dropping live baits in and around these structures.
Reports of blue marlin being picked up opn trolled skirted lures and for the deep drop fishos, a good feed of blue eyed cod is available out at Browns Mountain.
