11 MILE MARINA TROUT CLASSIFICATION: Here at the Marina we always are trying to have fun. We classify Trout by size and here is our name system. FIDGET: fish 13 inches or smaller. TYPICAL: fish 13 to 16 inches. STANDARD: fish 16 to 20 inches. LUNKER: fish 20 to 25 inches GUNKER: fish bigger than 25 inches.
CONDITIONS:: Park is open 24/7/365. All Park facilities are open. Witchers Cove Boat Ramp open Friday through Sunday. A crazy storm blew through on Tuesday. Mountains of hail from Stoll Mountain to Spinney. Everything is fine here but Spinney is still closed while they repair the roads in the Park that got wiped out by flooding and mounds of hail. All Park facilities here at Eleven Mile are open and fine. Water level did rise with a crazy amount of rain but we are still here and having a great time. The roads are not closed.

TROUT: GOOD: The action has been steady with bigger fish showing up again. Trolling or pitching from a boat has been productive. Tube jigs starting to kick out the big ones. Tas Devils, Needlefish and other spoons doing great on the troll. West end had a bunch of debris floating around from the storm but it is clearing up fast. Night anglers knocking them dead.KOKANEE SALMON:POOR TO FAIR: Four year olds are showing up here and there. The one above was caught in 40 feet of water off of Rocking Chair on a #55 Tas Devil off a lead core five colors out. Other anglers report a few caught here and there also four year olds getting ready for spawn mode.
NORTHERN PIKE: GOOD: Action has steadily improved for many anglers. More fish then we have seen all Summer. Big Sticks like Husky Jerks and big Spoons like Daredevles were doing really good. Bill’s Spinner Baits in Black/Blue and Chartreuse/ White also did well. Although soft Swim Baits look awfully good when retrieved just right apparently not good enough for the Pike as they were the least performing bait on the menu for us. It is pretty typical to see Pike action pick up as we move into Fall. We really like October for big fish action.
