TROUT:VERY GOOD: Lots of great fish being caught. Many many Cuttbows in the 14 to 16 inch range. Spunky and chunky. Fish in the 18 to 21 inch very frequent for those trolling, pitching tubes or shore fishing. It helps to have a little experience but luck doesn’t hurt either. Trolling with Tas Devils, Needlefish and a host of other offerings have done well. Fish are suspended so Lead core or down rigger helps a great deal. Speed is important based on the lure you are using. Pop gear requires a slow speed, Tas Devils do better at a faster speed. Check the manufacturers websites for suggested speed for your favorite lure. It will make a difference. Fish in pic above was caught on a silver and black deep diver Rapala. Bite times vary but action can be had through out the dayKOKANEE SALMON:POOR: Bite has dropped off for most. Don’t confuse small Trout for salmon as some have done. We just have not been able to score of late.
NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR: Fish being caught but it is certainly not gang busters. Work the rocks or the weed lines 25 feet of water or less. Husky Jerks, big spoons and other stick bait in addition to Trout patterned swim baits have done well. Bite times vary look to mid morning to early afternoon
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
