SUPPORT THE REPORT: Many thanks to all of you that support our store and business. We love you. Many Many Thanks! We are here for you with a great selection of what works and up to the minute fishing information. AS they say it doesn’t get any fresher than that!
MARINA STORE AND LAKE SPECIALISTS: Camping, Fishing Equipment, Flies, Lures, Bait, Clothing, Food, Snacks, Drinks, Ice Cream and official purveyors of Boars Head brand products. Stop in and find out how we can help you catch. Get a topo map. They say information is gold. It's also critical to catching fish from shore or boat. The maps have GPS coordinates on them so you just can't miss. We want you to be successful here at the Mile. Get a map we will MARK IT UP with the hot spots. Our tackle shop is fully stocked with all the great things you apparently can’t find at Cabela’s, Bass Pro and Wal Mart. TACKLE THE NEW TP…. go figure. Our tackle shop is fully stocked.
TROUT::GOOD: Ever since they stopped dumping water out of the lake the bite has been consistently good. Shore anglers do best at sunrise and sunset and night. Boaters either trolling or pitching have seen Cuttbows to 24 inches. Needlefish in Brown Trout and Rainbow have done well. Tasmanian’s always a sure bet. The Fall is always Rapala time and we have a great selection.
KOKANEE SALMON: POOR and POORER: It’s always worth the try but hardly worth the effort. One or two if you are lucky. No fish have been stocked in two years but there are still decent numbers out there. Bring us a salmon win a prize.
NORTHERN PIKE:: GOOD TO VERY GOOD: Action still the best of the season. Tube jigs, Bills Spinner Baits and a variety of spoons did the trick. The bite was happening all over the lake with your favorite spots finally kicking out some nice ones. Mid morning to late afternoon saw anglers having fun slamming Mr and Mrs. Toothy. Shore or boat it was a great week for those that like to eat Pike and maybe get one for the wall.
SERIOUS FISHERMEN TEAM PIKE TOURNAMENT has become another Covid casualty. Due to restrictions placed on us and the general unknown as to where these recent spikes are headed we have decided to take a pass this year on the contest. SORRY but we just think it is best all things considered. We will give a $100.00 to the biggest Pike weighed in here for the month of September! Bring em in.
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
The WEEKLY FISHING REPORT is produced by fishermen for fishermen. We try to get it done every Thursday but some times fishing or life gets in the way. So if its not there on Thursday morning it will show up by Friday. We appreciate all the support and acknowledge that many of you won't miss a week but every now and then we might. Be Safe. Fish On!
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: No matter the time of year we are always looking for that right person that wants to work. Stop in or email.
