CONTEST UPDATE: As of this writing we haven’t even gotten the courtesy of a response to our appeal. So for now since we were told we could not have them we will officially throw in the towel for The Grand Slam but will continue to argue our position and hope we can have The South Park Ice Masters and Marina March Madness. Stay tuned.

CURRENT CONDITIONS: ICE ON Lake is 100% capped. Thickness is running 8 to 12 inches. There were two days of temps reaching 48 degrees. Edges got weak but have firmed back up with colder temps. It is still early ice so caution is advise as always. Safety gear is cheap bring it along. BE SAFE BE SAFE BE SAFE
THE COVID THE PARK THE MARINA UPDATE: Park County is currently at level orange. We are a licensed grocery store and operate as an essential business with all required protocols in place. The Park is currently open 24/7/365. Campsites are open.

WATER FLOW: 128 CFS IN 72.5 CFS OUT At this rate the level is slowly rising. They are obviously moving to refill the lake so ice conditions may vary dramatically. Where do they get the water in Winter…Spinney.
ICE FISHING TIP OF THE WEEK: Always bring a first aid kit and hope you don’t need it. But as they say S—- happens especially ice fishing.

TROUT: VERY GOOD: Catching is good all around the lake. Most flock West and it is good to be sure. Lots of different baits are working. Early to mid morning seems to be best. Deep or shallow you can find the fish but move if you don’t. Colors change frequently with Pinks and Green being good.
KOKANEE SALMON: FAIR TO POOR: A few starting to show up. Mostly smaller. Kastmasters, Swedish Pimple and pink jigs. Look to Deep Water by Deer Island. It’s a hike.
NORTHERN PIKE: FAIR TO GOOD: Action picking up on fish 28 to 33 inches. Bigger ones on the prowl. Water dogs have been working. Mostly West. WE HAVE LIVE WATER DOGS JUST THE PERFECT SIZE
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
The WEEKLY FISHING REPORT is produced by fishermen for fishermen. We try to get it done every Thursday but some times fishing or life gets in the way. So if its not there on Thursday morning it will show up by Friday. We appreciate all the support and acknowledge that many of you won't miss a week but every now and then we might. Be Safe. Fish On!
