“ITS ABOUT THE CATCHING”

NOW HIRING ALL POSITIONS STARTING AT $18.00/HR PLUS GRATUITIES AND BENEFITS

MARINA STORE HOURS: SAT AND SUN 7:00AM - 7:00PM MON - FRI 8:00AM - 6:00PM

CURRENT CONDITIONS: Park County Stage 2 Fire Ban. Fires allowed in State Park campsite fire pits. Bad news for some great news for the fish. The annual hatch that normally occurs in May is on full force now. But it has been so windy since last Sunday that maybe we will miss the brunt of the hatch and it will be on the wane. The wind has prevented us from getting our docks fully installed. It was almost impossible to fish Monday and Tuesday. Today was calm until afternoon. Sunday afternoon saw a serious wind event that occurred for about 40 minutes. It was ugly.

WATER TEMP: 58

ELEVEN MILE STATE PARK IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTH PARK NATIONAL HERITAGE AREA

WATER FLOW: 70.3 CFS IN 70.3 CFS OUT

SUMMER BOAT RENTAL/RESERVATIONS: As we move into Summer short staffed like every other business it is not out of the realm of possibility that we are no different than the airlines. We sell a reservation and then don’t have the crew and cancel because we have no choice. We certainly hope it doesn’t come to that but when you are short staffed already and some one pulls a no show no call it becomes impossible to put certain numbers of boats on the water. We must staff for all safety contingencies. So the reservation does not guarantee the boat but it does guarantee the boat if we are properly staffed. Crossing our fingers.

MARINA STORE AND LAKE SPECIALISTS: Camping, Fishing Equipment, Flies, Lures, Bait, Clothing, Food, Snacks, Drinks, Ice Cream and official purveyors of Boars Head brand products. Stop in and find out how we can help you catch. Get a topo map. They say information is gold. It's also critical to catching fish on the ice. The maps have GPS coordinates on them so you just can't miss. We want you to be successful here at the Mile. Get a map we will MARK IT UP with the hot spots. WE ARE HERE FISHING EVERYDAY AND CAN PUT YOU ON THE FISH.

TROUT: GOOD: The hatch slowed things up just a little bit. Plenty of hot action on Cuttbows 11 to 13 inches. Numbers game catch a bunch of them pop a 20 incher. Trolling, Casting, Fly Rod or drifting bait plenty of fun to be had. Look to early then mid morning and again in early to mid afternoon

KOKANEE SALMON: GOOD: The luck of the salmon continues. You have to work to catch a limit but still doable. Down riggers and lead core are the best attack. Some like pop gear but you still need to get it down. Occasional fish above 20 feet but many more hiding in deeper water. North Shore to Duck Island most consistent but other areas have seen action like Deer Island and in shallower water by Stoll Mtn. Sling Blades with a variety of offerings off the back of those. Dodgers are similar to Sling Blades just a different shape. Stop in for latest report for what they want it does seem to change frequently. Brown Trout and Pink Panther Taz Devil in 7 or 13 gram.

NORTHERN PIKE:FAIR: Spawn looks to be over but fish will be hungry. Try Spinner Baits, spoons and jigs. Work from Stoll to Cross Creek. We have seen some action down in East Bay. Mid morning to late afternoon 6 to 12 feet of water.

SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park.  Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
