Sounds like you were on the bridge on Willow Hall Road, fishing that black water. They are definitely neat little critters. The redfin around there are usually about 7" long, like Fred said. They'll smack a beetle spin. All the pickerels seem to be pretty agresssive.

I've caught some small crappy and bream in that swamp, too, BTW. I've also caught bass in the pond south of Ion Swamp (and also one back in the forest on the other side of 17), but they can be TOUGH to get to bite, because that pond on Willow Hall is crystal clear. At least, it was back when I was running aruond in the woods up there. [:D] I used to fish every forest pond I could find.
