Jim Sweeney & his two sons from Cincinatti, Ohio fished with me yesterday and today.....yesterday was rough and we only had a few bites....caught 2 small yellowfin and two dolphin. Got an early start today in hopes of showing them at least one good day of fishing and fortunately things went our way...... Found a beautiful weedline and though its early for dolphin, with no other boats around we had decent action catching a dozen nice 5-18 lb dolphin on light tackle. Thirteen year old Daniel Sweeney, on his birthday, fought a 275-300 lb bluefin for over 45 minutes and got it to the boat for his release, earning his first North Carolina citation. Then older brother Patrick boated a 130 lb mako shark.
