Fishing Report: Matagorda Bay

Fish are still on grass beds, but wind is a problem these last few weeks.  Hope this wind will lay down so we can fish them more.  Plastics in Kelley Wigglers rootbeer and pumpkinseed shrimp are catching lots of fish with Kelley Wigglers 1/4 oz. lead heads.  Also, ball tail baits in colors chartreuse/blue metal flake are effective.  Tides have been above normal which helps most of us waders in the back of the bayous.  Brown shrimp are plentiful in bay.  Glass minnows are pilling up in the late afternoon on the bars in West Bay allowing those fisherman to catch right before dark.  Makes for an interesting ride home.
