Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Captain James Nelson had several guide trips last week on San Diego Bay, and as usual they yielded a TON of caught fish of many different species. Here are his boat's totals; 21 bonefish, 28 yellowfin croaker, 20 black croaker, 14 sand shark, 12 halibut, 8 calico bass, 48 spotted bay bass, 14 diamond turbot, 4 shortfin corvina, 1 corbina, 1 mackerel, and 16 lizardfish. Swimbaits and grubs accounted for most of the halibut and bass while ghost shrimp and small plastics enticed most of the croaker and bonefish. The croaker and bonefish were caught on shallow fish while most of the bigger spotties are still in deeper water.
