Capt. Bud McArthur of Brick was able to breath a sigh of relief when he saw the huge shark being weighed at Crystal Point Marina in Point Pleasant this afternoon was a thresher -- rather than a mako, which is the only species eligible in the JCSA Tournment that started today and runs through Sunday -- when McArthur will be competing with his Splinter. The thresher weighed 538 pounds, and was boated on the Marlintini.
