Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Hey Sportsmen, 10/18/11
Well after being off for over a week it was good to get back on the water. We headed outside for Rockfish and halibut. The salmon bite was still slow so we started fishing Rockfish and Lingcod. We started pounding them right off the bat. It was limit style fishing even while being selective, and a great grade of fish. At around 10:30 I asked the crew if they wanted to continue fishing the rockfish or go try for some halibut. I had an idea the halibut might bite at this point of the tide. They wanted to go for the halibut. We made the move and for the last of the ebb tide they did not bite. Once the flood tide started they were biting. In just a few hours we hooked somewhere around 16 or 17 halibut. We boxed 12 halibut to 18 lbs. We also had 3 lingcod to 12 lbs in the box and lost 2 thresher sharks. I am booked up though Sunday but there might for a couple of spots on Friday or Saturday. Back out tomorrow. Enjoy the photos.
