The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announces the recreational season for greater amberjack opens on August 1 in state and federal Gulf of Mexico waters. The season has been closed since June 1. The minimum size limit for greater amberjack in Gulf of Mexico waters is 30 inches fork length.
