The fishing has been going great here lately with a lot of different species being caught off the surf. There are spot, pampano, kingish, trout, croaker, and bluefish being caught. Our custom tied EC surfballs tipped with bloodworms, fishbites, squid, and shrimp have been working well. For the bluefish mullet rigs and larger fireball rigs are your best bet tipped with finger mullet and squid. We had a 23'' flounder caught on a finger mullet rig off the surf yesterday. In the back bay the flounder fishing is staying pretty consistent with the Jerz jigging crew still doing really well using their jigging technique. Anglers are still catching a good ammount of croakers too. Crabbing is doing well and is a well recieved family activity for fun to be had at all ages. Its been nice to see all our family friends who come year after year.

Kyle and crew with their citation red drum fishing the bayside. All catch and release red drum; red drum are a slot limit fish which you can only keep between 18-26 inches in VA. There have been more juvinle drum in the seaside and bayside bays than there have been in years. it is nice to see some of the bull reds showing up too. We are awaiting a good Fall run as it looks promising from early signs.
