Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
August finishes strong with beeliners, black sea bass, trigger fish, amberjack and more. Good weather for several days allowed fishing 20 - 30 miles off shore with very steady catches. There are some awesome new pictures in both the weekly fishing report above and the photo gallery. NOAA (National Marine Fisheries) has closed our black sea bass fishing once again until June 1, stating that we have already met our quotas. There have been rumors about the red snapper fishery reopening, HOWEVER, it is only a six day season in Sept. and you are allowed to keep just one fish per person. The dates for the mini red snapper season are Sept. 14, 15, and 16th and Sept. 21, 22, and 23rd. Call (904) 241 - 4111 if you are interested in making a reservation to fish with Cpt. George Strate. The cost is still only $80.00 per person. We still have eight good weeks left to fish before more closures initiate in November.
