With all that being said, I have been working on groupers when the weather will let me, that bite has been great!!!! Check out this post from my blog 2 years ago, we caught cobia all the way through mid June ....... just for those that want to quit looking. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Well, we have been running cobia trips and have done very well, landed 39 cobia this past week keeping only 10 of those fish earning 7 NC saltwater citations (40lbs or bigger). We have been sight casting and jigging bait for all of these catches! The voice is still there "coo-be-aahhh!!!" As long as it sounding off, I will keep after them. I have had the "maah-hee" voice increase in volume the past few days since there has been nice catches of good size fish coming to the dock within "striking distance" of Team Mount Maker. It is just a matter of time and I will be heading out to the 17-30 phathom range to try and quiet the maah-hee voice! Look for up dates and for the sake of everyone's inner fishing voices come go fishing with us, it has been a SUPER year so far!!!
