Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
The wind has been steady out of the NE about 15 - 18 knots the past couple of days, making the seas a little choppy, but not too bad for most. The Islamorada Sailfishing slowed down a little bit, but the boats that have been patient and putting their time in are still getting a few shots a day. Yesterday the Relentless caught and released 3 sailfish on a 1/2 day fishing trip, The Reel McCoy, Kalex, and Fearless all released 1 sail. The Kalex also had a bucket full of yellowtail snapper and a few cero mackerel for dinner. The BnM had a couple decent mutton snapper for dinner as well. Today the Relentless and Reel McCoy both released 2 sailfish and the redfish released 1. The BnM went Florida Keys Shark Fishing and had no problem find some BIG SHARKS! The caught and released an estimated 350 lb Bull Shark, and two dusky sharks, one over 250 lbs! They also caught some medium sized blackfin tuna from 10 to 15 lbs. The Strictly Business did some bottom fishing and the Kids fishing had a great time! They had yellowtail snapper, a mutton snapper, and cero mackerel, Great Action! The Catch 22 ventured out for a daytime swordfishing charter and managed to catch 3 broadbill swordfish, and lost a 4th after a 2 hour battle, estimated at 250 lbs! Somehow the big ones seem to get away a lot of the time, but that's what keeps us going back for more! They released 1 of the broadbill and kept 2 others for dinner.
