Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
While fighting the rain June 18th & 19th, we had some decent action off shore with our Californian group. The sail fish were spread thin and there were marlin around as we heard over the radio with another group that was also out. We fished along side Capt Kiwi and another local boat, and we managed to put up just 8 sails, and 8 dorado. This was the results of course a short day. We had to call it due to rough weather heading our way, and pulled the lines at 1230pm. These days mark the highest concentrations of marlin in Guatemalan waters, which are chasing the stacks of small dorado and tuna. While you risk taking on the seasonal rainy weather, it can pay off with muti marlin hook ups, many dorado, several sails, and yellow fin tuna. The most important information you can gather from a lodge is a weekly report no matter what, not just when the bite is hot. We will report just about every week, as long as we have a boat out and the reports will be honest for your reference.Tight Lines,
Capt Chris Starrs
