Cooler days have seen the afternoon hatch activity pick up & has brought more consistency to the overall fishing.  We were at 42 degrees air temp this am so early morning dry-fly fishing can be a little slow until the sun warms things up a bit.  However, a midge, BWO, or Mayfly spinner can pick up fish in the early morning if the fisher is willing to cover a lot of ground looking for it.  Nymphing continues to be productive anytime of day.  Noon to dark is the best time to fish right now.  Pay special attention to the 6 pm to dark timeframe.  We may start seeing some of the fall hatches show up in the next several weeks (ie: mahogany dun, October caddis, Green Drake, et al.).  I'll keep you posted.  Otherwise, the usual suspects are still on the menu:  Golden Stone, caddis, PMD, PED, BWO, Sallies, Midges. 

Bull Trout:  Steelhead gear, steelhead tactics.  Deep pools, tail-outs, cut-banks.  12 lb leader.  Big streamer.  Get it to the bottom.  Hold on tight.  5 or 6 wt rods need not apply.
