Fishing Report for Thurs Sept 19th

 | By Seamus on 9/21/2013 2:55:50 PM | Views (186)
We had a decent run of pan-sized or larger Spot and Croaker in this morning's incoming tide. Neither the outgoing tide today, nor the incoming tide this evening yielded anything better than those stupid little Pinfish. We're hoping tomorrow will be better. We have has some keeper Puppy Drum this week until today.

They've been biting the best on that incoming tide overnight/early morning. We're hoping it will continue to pick up. The water temp is down to around 75 degrees...

No big yellow-bellied Spot yet. Keep an eye on the water temp. They should be on there way as it continues to drop.

Everything lately has been caught between 3/4ths of the way out and the end of the pier, except the Drum, they've been up in the surf.
Fish the RIGHT side of the pier on an OUTGOING TIDE.
Fish the LEFT side of the pier on an INCOMING TIDE.
Fish the LEFT side of the pier, regardless of tide, if we have a strong NE wind blowing (rough water/white caps).

They're using mostly Bloodworms, Bloodworm Fish Bites, and/or squid. For Drum you want cut bait, or finger mullet.

F.Y.I.: All Combo Rods (rods w/reels including the small Neon Combos) and all Daiwa Reels (located in the glass case) are all 20% off!!

The tide is going out now and and will be low around 4am.
The next INCOMING tides through Tues START at:
4:30/5AM Fri morning, and 5/5:30PM Fri evening.

Crabbing is pretty much finished for the season. You're welcome to come try your luck, but that's exactly what you will need.

We would like to encourage all of our facebook friends to post photos of the fish and crabs they catch on our wall. Everyone is always asking for pics, but unfortunately our staff doesn't always have time to take some.
