Snapper around Lysaughts

There have been a few snapper starting to school up around the Lysaughts reef and up towards the top of Eagle rock in Westernport Bay. Normally the deeper areas of this reef holds good numbers of smaller snapper and pinkies, with the larger fish moving in shallower off the reef.

Customer Aaron fished out around Lysaughts again on Saturday morning where he landed snapper to 6.8kg in weight. Aaron caught both of these fish during the run in tide using baits of fresh couta and scad.
