Plenty of ripper snapper PPB shallow

The area around Black Rock and Brighton is still producing snapper for anglers fishing in boats and from the shore. Low light conditions have been best for shore based anglers while daylight hours are seeing quality snapper caught from the boat. James from Unreel Fishing Charters has been catching reds to 6kg in water around 10m deep out from Black Rock, on a mixture of pilchard and squid.

Customer Ferdi caught his bag of fish up to 4kg from the shore near Black Rock on Wednesday night, with all 3 fish taking different baits - squid, pilchard and silver whiting.
