The northern end of Port Phillip Bay has still got good numbers of snapper present at the moment, with fish anywhere from 2 - 9kg being caught. James from Unreel Fishing Charters had a ripper session with clients out from Port Melbourne just recently, with a quality bag of snapper for all on board. As you can see by the photo, there have been plenty of boats anchored close by as the fish are quite thick at the minute. Baits of pilchard, silver whiting and cuttlefish have been preferred by most anglers in the area.
