Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
The Gippsland Lakes have been fishing ok for bream and flathead recently, with the fishing not quite red hot, but good if you can put the effort in. Customer Dave caught a cracker dusky flathead of around 70cm earlier this week down near Lakes Entrance on a small prawn imitation soft plastic. Dave was fishing out of his kayak and caught the flattie on his custom Loomis outfit.
Staff member Dylan has been catching a few nice bream here and there over the last few weeks down in Gippsland as well. Slowly worked hardbodied lures have been catching fish, along with small soft plastics. With warmer weather the bream will start to become a bit more active up along the banks of the rivers also.
