Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Hello sportsmen,
I just finished up 4 fishing trips in a row. I have seen a lot more fish move into the Mothball Fleet area and the numbers are up a lot. The water temperature is running around 45 to 46°. This seems to be the norm for the wintertime fishing. A lot of surgeon but a little slow to bite. We are looking at 3 to 5 Sturgeon a day. Majority of them are shakers. If you put in your time you will get a keeper. We are also still landing some bass. The top area for me on the last 4 trips has been around buoy 4 and the Mothball Fleet. I have seen the best bites during the bigger outgoing tide. And the best bait has been JPS (Just Plain Shrimp) and then eel and shrimp combo.. On yesterday's trip we did get some sturgeon activity on ghost shrimp. I'm taking a couple days off to visit with my daughters that are coming back home for the holidays and I will be back on the water Friday Saturday and Sunday, there is a little room. Enjoy the photos
