Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
The Gippsland lakes are still fishing well for anglers targeting bream, flathead and luderick. Many bait anglers are doing well on all 3 species, with the odd tailor or trevally thrown in. The Tambo and Nicholson Rivers are producing bream to 40cm on baits of shrimp and sandworm around the boat ramp areas of both rivers. Further down towards Lakes Entrance there have been a few more silver trevally mixed in with the bream and luderick, and they are responding to baits of prawn and sandworm.
Customer Lucas had a good session on the luderick from the jetties around Lakes Entrance recently. Lucas lives in the area and has no troubles finding the fish, and with a good bag of blackfish like this no one can dispute that! Baits of sandworm, prawn and green weed have been doing the job on the luderick when fished on a float rig.
