March 4th 2024 – Figuring out what the weather will do is no science, it’s more like a magic 8 ball. Seeing what the last 3 months have provided for us, then looking at the long range forecast it seems as though, Winter is going.. Temps in the mid 70s water temps in the shallows mirror that and the fishing has some good and some not so great reports depending on the day. Here are the highlights that I have seen.. Fishing Report Inshore we are waiting for the tarpon to get consistent. While there have been a few caught here and there I cannot really say tarpon fishing is a thing yet. I will know tomorrow after my two inshore trips on my bay boat. I assure you I will be ready. March is one of my favorite months to go flats fishing for permit. There have been very few permit seen on the flats as of late, hoping that improves as the conditions are right for sure.. New moon comes up this weekend on the time change.
