Whiskey Bayou Charters Sunny Monday Fishing
Just last week we had Mark, Hailey, Ashton, and Tab aboard the Majek chasing redfish. The wind was down, the sun was out, and the temps warmed quickly as the day progressed. By noon, they had their limit in the box and we headed back to the dock. Great crew that was a pleasure to fish with! Captain Joe Ezell Whiskey Bayou Charters 626 Florissant Hwy. Whiskey Bayou Charters Fishing on a Cold and Cloudy Day
Just recently we had Dave, his daughter, and her friends aboard the Majek chasing redfish. The weatherman missed… again! Winds were heavy out of the East, temperatures were colder than forecasted, and heavy cloud coverage greeted us as we headed out. We caught two on a protected shoreline, but 49-degree water temps had the fish slow to eat or do much of anything else. Midday morning, we made a move to find cleaner water and put 18 in the boat, plus a donor green trout to finish off their limit. Great crew that was a pleasure to fish with! Whiskey Bayou Charters Looking for Redfish in the Marsh
Today we had Mark, Bruce, Brian, and Chuck aboard the Majek chasing redfish. We were greeted with wind gusting to 30 and sustained in the mid-20’s at daylight. The temperature never got above the mid-50’s throughout the day. We started on a protected shoreline, but the wind had already churned the water into chocolate milk. Midday, we made a move to find cleaner water and put 9 in the boat, plus a donor green trout before they called it a day. Whiskey Bayou Charters Chasing Redfish in Cold and Windy Weather
DAY 1 Today we had Laverne and Jeremy out of Jackson, TN, aboard the Majek chasing redfish limits. The weather was far different from the day before as we were greeted with wind gusting to 30 and sustained in the mid-20’s at daylight. The temp never got above the mid-50’s throughout the day. We started on a protected shoreline, but the wind had already churned the water into chocolate milk. Midday, we made a move to find cleaner water and put their limit in the boat at our final stop.   DAY 2 Today was day two for Laverne and Jeremy out of Jackson, TN, aboard the Majek chasing redfish limits. The weatherman was wrong again. 6-7 mph was actually 15-18 mph out of the NW with temps in the low 50’s. The weather has been crazy this month! We started where we finished yesterday and stayed on them until we got a little sun and warmed the water a few degrees. They boated their limit, and we headed back to the dock. Great crew that was a pleasure
Whiskey Bayou Charters Chasing Redfish Limits in the Delacroix Marsh
Monday we had Manuel, Terry, Mitch, and Matt out of Jackson, TN aboard the Majek chasing redfish limits. The bite started slow but picked up throughout the day. With their limit in the boat and a few throwbacks, we headed in. Great crew that was a pleasure to fish with! Captain Joe Ezell Whiskey Bayou Charters 626 Florissant Hwy. Whiskey Bayou Charters Redfish Wednesday
Helped Captain Chad Dufrene of Dufrene’s Guide Service with a trip for the Gene Snopes crew out of Jacksonville, FL today. Gene, David, Craig, and John were aboard the Majek as we headed out hunting redfish. The wind was down today, as well as the tide, which helped to concentrate the fish onto main points. We boated 4 at our first spot and 10 a little later. We finished the limit on main lake points by 1:00 PM. Great crew that was a pleasure to fish with. Thanks to Captain Chad for the trip! Whiskey Bayou Charters Two Day Redfishing Trip
DAY ONE Today we had the Shelton crew out of Starkville, MS in town for the first of a two-day run at these Delacroix redfish. Big thanks to Captain Chad Dufrene of Dufrene’s Guide Service for running the second boat and putting them on fish as usual! Scottie, Lawson, Michael, and William were with me and we started slow, landing 4 at our first stop. Then it was a while of fishing before getting back on the bite. With their limit in the boat and a few throwbacks we headed in around noon. DAY TWO Today was day two for the Shelton crew out of Starkville, MS. Once again, big thanks to Captain Chad Dufrene of Dufrene’s Guide Service for running the second boat. Wes, Michael, and William were with me and we started on a steady bite, landing 8 at our first stop before the bite shut down. We made a move and picked them off steadily to get their limit. Whiskey Bayou Charters Hunting for Redfish
Just last week, we helped Captain Nicholas Rando of Fishaholic Fishing Charters with a 26-person crew today. Mark, Jeff, Ronnie, and Hunter were aboard the Majek as we headed out hunting redfish. The wind was down, as well as the tide, which helped to concentrate the fish onto main points. We guessed correctly and boated several at our first spot and finished their limit early enough to get them back to the dock before lunch. Great crew that was a pleasure to fish with! Thanks to Captain Nick for the trip! Captain Joe Ezell Whiskey Bayou Charters 626 Florissant Hwy. Saint Bernard, LA 70085 504-265-3405 www.whiskeybayoucharters.com/
