Whiskey Bayou Charters Ahead of a Rainstorm
Sunday we had Buddy Keene and Mike Kilgo along with his son Jared out of Georgia aboard the Majek. The wind was up this morning but not as bad as the forecast (for once) so we started close to the dock. We got on a steady bite and landed 6 before making a move to finish off the limit. We played catch and release the rest of the day calling it ahead of a rainstorm after the 28th fish made the clicker! A great crew that were a pleasure to fish with! Whiskey Bayou Charters Nice Box of Fish
Last Saturday we helped Captain Jack and Sweetwater Marina, Delacroix Island with a charter. Darryl, Troy and Brayden were aboard the Majek as we headed out early trying to beat the wind kicking up. Fortunately, we got on a steady bite and put together a nice box of fish before the winds got out of hand. A great crew that were a pleasure to fish with! Whiskey Bayou Charters Landed 25
A week ago today we had Travis and Fran Hunter along with Mike Green and Austin Lee Ard out of Florida aboard the Majek. The wind was slick calm first thing this morning and the water was up so we started close to the dock. We got on a steady bite and landed 25 before calling it a day! Whiskey Bayou Charters Wind Out of Control
Last week we helped Captain Jack and Sweetwater Marina, Delacroix Island with a charter. Philip and Lance were aboard the Majek as we headed out early trying to beat the wind kicking up. Fortunately, we got on an early bite and had 4 in the box before the wind got out of control. A quick move and we got on a protected bank to finish their limit. Whiskey Bayou Charters One Fish Per Stop
Two weeks ago we had Jim Arnold, friends Monte and Ruben out of Illinois aboard the Majek. The wind was howling in the mid-20s and the temps never got out of the 50’s. The water was atrociously dirty from the front that pushed through yesterday. Our first 5 stops produced zero bites. Another move finally got a few fish to eat (never more than one fish per stop) and allowed us to eke out their limit very late in the day. A great crew that were a pleasure to fish with!
